Jemimah Rodrigues Shines as She Joins Elite Ranks in BCCI’s New Contracts
Jemimah Rodrigues’s outstanding performance during India’s first-ever Women’s World Cup victory in 2025 has been acknowledged with her elevation to Grade A in the BCCI’s central contracts for women for 2025–26. This promotion places her alongside Harmanpreet Kaur, Smriti Mandhana and Deepti Sharma in the top band.
The BCCI, while discreet about contract values, has retained last year’s structure: Grade A INR 50 lakh, Grade B INR 30 lakh, Grade C INR 10 lakh.

Grade A: Harmanpreet Kaur, Smriti Mandhana, Jemimah Rodrigues, Deepti Sharma.
Grade B: Shafali Verma, Richa Ghosh, Sneh Rana, Radha Yadav, Amanjot Kaur, Arundhati Reddy, Pratika Rawal, Kranti Gaud, Uma Chetry, Renuka Singh.
Grade C: Shree Charani, Yastika Bhatia, Harleen Deol, Kashvee Gautam, G Kamalini, Vaishnavi Sharma, Tejal Hasabnis.
Pratika Rawal was India’s second-highest run-scorer at the World Cup, with 308 runs in six innings before injury. Kranti Gaud had a standout performance in England, including a career-best 6 for 52 that helped her case for Grade B. Sneh Rana earned promotion after a strong return, picking up 15 wickets in the Sri Lanka tri-series and being named Player of the Tournament.
All-rounders Shreyanka Patil and Pooja Vastrakar were notable omissions from the retainers this cycle; both had Grade C retainers last year but missed out while recovering from injuries, despite featuring in the recent WPL.
