Despite impressive centuries from Afghanistan’s Faisal Shinozada and Uzairullah Niazai, who lifted their team to 310 for 4, Afghanistan’s effort was eclipsed by India’s adept batting. Afghan opener Omarzai secured 2 for 64 but couldn’t stave off the Indian onslaught.
Afghanistan’s innings commenced robustly with openers Osman Sadat and Khalid Ahmadzai establishing a strong foundation.
